Pedro Almodovar

(1951-...)

Almodovar is a cult director from Barcelona, Spain and his films are easily recognisable by his use of vibrant colors tones, strong textures as well as his love of close-up. His irrational comedies often portray strong female personalities or various gay characters, all in the throes of emotional turmoil.
